• June 7 -- A Not-So-Fond Remembrance of Reagan
In Marilyn Berger's obituary for Ronald Reagan, "optimism" and luck sum up Reagan's achievements. She runs through the anti-Reagan liberal litany of deficits, homelessness, and "ketchup as a vegetable," and even brings up the discredited "October Surprise" theory.

• December 5 -- Not
Dead Yet
"An obituary on this page yesterday erroneously reported the
death of Katharine Sergava, a dancer and an actress who portrayed the
dream-ballet version of Laurey, the heroine, in the original
production of 'Oklahoma!'"
• October 6 -- Better Late Than
Never
From the Corrections section: "An article in The Times Magazine on
Sept. 22, 1974, about the movie actor Charles Bronson, who died on
Aug. 30 this year, misstated his military record."
• June 27 --
Behind the Times On Strom Thurmond’s Death
Friday’s obituary for Republican Sen. Strom Thurmond is headlined: “Strom
Thurmond, Foe of Integration, Dies at 100.” It would have been nice if the Times
had noted that Thurmond died a friend of integration.
