Finds Liberal Hunger Story Hard to Swallow
Tom Zeller questions the liberal findings of an annual hunger study that
shows implausibly large annual increases in hunger: "…it is not
surprising that the mayors' survey, which relies primarily on the collected
impressions (and varied recordkeeping) of these agencies, would consistently
report an increase in demand."

Peter Kilborn sees hunger in America: “The U.S. Conference of Mayors
reported in December that in a survey of 25 cities, the number of requests for
free food last year exceeded the 2001 average by 19 percent.” Kilborn doesn’t
mention the Mayors have said that 16 years in a row.
